Dear Nurse (in any capacity) or

I am a faculty in the College of
Health Sciences/department of Nursing at West Chester University. I am
conducting a research study entitled “Why become a nurse: factors that influence the
career choice”. The purpose of the research is to describe
factors that influence a person to choose nursing as a career.
You are being asked to participate
in this study because you are a nurse or a nursing student.
Your participation in this study is voluntary. If you choose not to
participate or withdraw from the study at any time, you may do so. The survey is
anonymous. The results of the research study may be published, but individual information will not be known even to the researchers.
Your participation will involve accessing
the survey link provided and answering the questions. It may take three to five
minutes to complete the survey
Although there may be no direct
benefit to you, the possible benefit of your participation is to gain insight
into the different factors that influence a person’s career choice of nursing.
There are no risks involved. If you
are not comfortable completing any questions you may leave them blank. You may
discontinue the survey at any time during the process.
If you have any questions concerning
the research study please call me at 302-602-2503 (Cell-Rachel Joseph).
